Circular SoCal Collaborative

On September 16, 2025, Circular SoCal brought together leading voices in architecture, design, policy, and sustainability at the Annenberg Beach House in Santa Monica for a dynamic, expert-level conversation on circularity in the built environment. Co-hosted by the City of Santa Monica, AIA Los Angeles, and CLF-LA, the event explored circular principles across material, building, and municipal scales—highlighting innovations in manufacturing, construction methods, and policy frameworks.

Attendees engaged in panel discussions, collaborative workshops, and networking sessions, all aimed at unlocking regional collaboration and advancing tangible solutions for a circular economy. The event emphasized zero waste practices, and featured speakers from organizations such as Angel City Lumber, Buro Happold, Los Angeles County, and NYC Economic Development Corporation.

Circular SoCal is part of a broader effort by Circular SoCal partners to drive policy change, support design innovation, and build regional capacity for circularity. Outcomes from the event will inform future design charrettes, advocacy efforts, and strategic initiatives—laying the groundwork for a regenerative future in Southern California and beyond.
